‘Rebirth Goddess’, by Neovi Vlassopoulou. is part of her Metamorphosis Era works. This phase represents the shedding of of layers, of old identities and ways of life that are now not in alignment with the direction of her future.
This piece specifically relates to being in the cosmic womb, while being surrounded by the chaos, it is no longer part of who she is. She no longer identities with the external chaos, even though it is what shaped her and lead her to where she is now.
Like the caterpillar being transformed into the butterfly, just ready to break out of it’s shell that was a necessary shelter for her growth, which has now become obsolete, ‘Rebirth Goddess’ is now ready to burst out of her cocoon, her comfort zone and habits which once kept her ‘safe’.. and small.
She’s ready to break free.
